The embodied Word
” In the beginning was the World, and the Word was with God, and the World was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. (John 1:1-3)
'And the word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1: 14)
'For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and narrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart' (Hebrews 4:12)
The eternal Word
'In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.' (Ephesians 1:13-14)
'Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.' (Colossians 3:16)
'...the word of God endures forever. Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.' (1Peter 1: 25)
