Fasting and prayer
Poem

In the Bible, we see the power,
Of prayer and fasting, every hour.
From Moses and Elijah to Jesus the Lord,
The discipline of fasting, they all adored.

For in prayer and fasting, we draw near,
To the throne of grace, without any fear.
We humble ourselves, before His sight,
And surrender our lives, with all our might.

Fasting helps us to deny our flesh,
And to focus on God, with each tumulus breath.
It helps us to see, with spiritual eyes,
And to hear His voice, beyond the skies.

In prayer, we pour out our hearts,
And lay our burdens, at His feet, apart.
We seek His guidance, in every way,
And ask for His mercy, day by day.

Together, prayer and fasting create,
A powerful tool, to conquer any fate.
We find our strength, in God alone,
And our hope, in His heavenly throne.

They help us to grow, in faith and love,
And to keep our eyes, on the treasures above.
They teach us to trust, in God’s only ways,
And to follow Him, all of our earthly days.

So let us embrace, this discipline divine,
And seek the Lord, with all our hearts and minds.
For in prayer and fasting, we will find,
The way to know His heart, and to be heavenly refined.
