In Suffering we find Christ
Poem

In the depths of suffering, we search for meaning,
A journey through anguish, our souls intervening.
If happiness prevailed, with no need for God,
Our thoughts would be distant, in paths far untrod.

But suffering, it whispers, “Know you are mortal,”
A reminder profound, a knock at life’s portal.
We seek divine aid, in our moments of woe,
And Jesus, He answers, our sorrows He’ll know.

Oh Lord, why allow such pain to reside?
Why do parents relinquish, their children aside?
These questions we ask, in our quest to understand,
And it is God alone, who holds answers so grand.

Amidst suffering’s path, Christian souls tread,
In trials, they face, when their spirits seem dead.
Yet Jesus, walks, by their side in the night,
In their deepest despair, He becomes their light.

Life, it’s not fair, we must comprehend,
The curse of our sin, to which all will bend.
But Jesus, He came, breaking sin’s heavy chains,
To offer redemption, where hope yet remains.

In the depths of suffering, sometimes silence falls,
But fear not, for God’s presence, He silently calls.
Emmanuel, God with us, through the darkest of hours,
A steadfast companion, His love never sours.

While friends may forsake, and darkness looms near,
Jesus, our friend of light, wipes away every tear.
Despised and rejected, His wounds bring us healing,
In His arms, we find solace, all pain gently peeling.

Forsaken was He, that we might be embraced,
Adopted by God’s grace, in His family encased.
For those who believe, even death cannot sever,
In Jesus, they find life, an eternity to endeavour.

And when the day comes, God’s promise unfurled,
No more tears shall we shed, in a harmonious world.
Death, sorrow, and crying, all faded away,
As former things pass, in eternal decay.

So let us not grow bitter in suffering’s sway,
But strive to be better, with Jesus, we pray.
For within Him, our solace, our purpose, our peace,
In Him, our suffering finds ultimate release.

Thus, in the script of suffering’s tale, we find,
A symphony of faith, where hearts intertwine.
Biblical truths and thought-provoking insight,
Weaving a poetic tapestry, shining ever so bright.
