Is smoking Marijuana a sin Bible?
Poem?
In the land of ancient Israel’s past,
Where biblical tribes held rituals vast,
A study reveals an intriguing find,
Marijuana resin on an altar’s shrine.
But does this mean it’s alright to partake?
To smoke the herb and pleasures to liven and awake?
The Bible speaks of sin and righteous ways,
So let us explore its words in this poetic haze.
When high in prayer, does sin take its toll?
Are we disconnected from God’s sacred role?
Detrimental effects can indeed arise,
Short-term memory loss, a clouded prize.
Long-term cognitive function may decline,
Impairment at work and school, a worrisome sign.
Psychiatric illness may rear its head,
Abuse and withdrawal, are a path we may tread.
The Gateway Hypothesis cautions us all,
Marijuana use may lead to a downward fall,
An increased likelihood of other drugs,
Driving under its influence, full of danger hugs.
Hormonal dysfunction may also ensue,
Reproductive issues and pituitary imbalances too.
Oral and lung cancer, risks are on the rise,
More than cigarette smoking, a grave surprise.
Cardiovascular events, a risk to be aware,
Tachyarrhythmias, strokes, and complications rare.
These are the immediate effects we see,
Once THC stimulates the brain’s controlled glee.
The pleasure centre responds with delight,
Euphoria and relaxation take temporary flight.
But akin to intoxication by alcoholic drinks,
Marijuana’s high may lead one to drastically think.
In the New Testament, sorcery is widely decried,
A work of the flesh, where darkness resides.
Magical arts and drug use clearly defines,
In pagan religions, where demon manifestations entwine.
Hinduism’s demons they sought to reach,
Through substances, including cannabis’s breach.
But the spiritual implications are often ignored,
When people smoke weed, they may open a demonic door.
For sin is an open door to the devil’s hold,
Marijuana and psychedelics, their stories unfold.
Seeds of deception sown deep in the mind,
Only the Word of God can leave them all far behind.
Repentance and renouncement must be duly sought,
To break the connection that demons have wrought.
For psychedelic experiences must be cleansed,
Through the Scriptures, the devil’s plan is duly fenced.
So it is a sin to pray while high, we can say,
The dangers of marijuana have their evil way.
Regular smoking damages the bronchial line,
Diminishing immunity, which is a troubling sign.
Heart attacks may quadruple their suffering might,
Within the first hour after marijuana’s flight.
The Bible calls for Christians to be biblically sound,
Sober and clear-headed, their minds Holy Spirit bound.
For Satan seeks to justify our every wrong,
To make us believe we are right where we belong.
He twists the Bible, takes verses out of place,
To justify the use of marijuana’s seductive embrace.
For sin is the devil’s open door,
Through marijuana, he seeks to entrap and explore.
Psychedelic experiences, a gateway they become,
The Word of God must break the ties, and leave us unswum.
Repentance and renouncement, the path we must choose,
To rid our souls of demons, we cannot afford to lose.
For the devil seeks to deceive and have total control,
But the Scriptures are our weapon, and our shield for the soul.
But we must be vigilant, and not be materially deceived,
Guarding against Satan’s tactics coined and conceived.
Over 90 per cent, we are told recreational it may be,
Medical use often lacks study and legitimacy.
Deceived or not, God is never fooled,
Mockery of His laws will never be overruled.
So let us be cautious in our earthly pursuits,
In understanding God’s Word, bearing its fruits.
For sin and righteousness walk hand in hand,
And the path we choose shapes our life’s grandstand.
Let wisdom guide us in the choices we make,
And in God’s truth, our firm foundation we take.
The devil, the great justifier, seeks to sway,
Using the Bible to justify his malicious play.
But we must be wise, and not fall for his trick,
Understanding the truth, discerning and being slick.
So let us tread with caution, aware of the snares,
In a world of deception, with the devil’s affairs.
Hold fast to God’s teachings, His laws never mocked,
For righteousness and truth, in His presence, we are locked.
Sin and righteousness, forever entwined,
In the choices we make, our lives are defined.
May wisdom guide us, through God’s holy Word,
And in His love and grace, may our souls be biblically heard.
