Is abortion a sin?
Bible poem

In the depths of the belly, a secret place,
A child is formed, by God’s own grace.
Knitted together, fearfully and wonderfully made,
In the mother’s womb, where life’s foundation is laid.

The psalmist declares with heartfelt praise,
That God’s works are marvellous in countless ways.
No frame is hidden from the Lord’s perfect sight,
For He sees the unformed substance, pure and bright.

Before the womb, before the birth,
God’s knowledge of us extends to the corners of the earth.
He consecrates and appoints us with due care,
Even before we take our first breath of air.

But is abortion a sin, you may purposefully ask,
In cases of rape and incest, a daunting task?
Yet two wrongs never make a right,
Taking an innocent life is not the answer in sight.

Abortion, is a traumatic experience, indeed,
Causing additional pain, making hearts tremble and bleed.
It can be a cover for crimes most hideous and vile,
Allowing the guilty to continue their onward defile.

Yet the woman’s heart may still find love,
As the bond with her child blossoms above.
In countries where it’s legal, it’s prevalent still,
Taking lives, silencing heartbeats, an ongoing ill.

Unsafe abortions plague the world’s stage,
Claiming millions of lives, a haunting outrage.
But God’s covenant makes His stance biblically clear,
Animals for food, not human beings, do we shear?

God holds us accountable for each unborn life,
He values and cherishes, amid our earthly strife.
For if we follow Christ, we imitate His way,
Valuing the sanctity of living each passing day.

In the Bible, midwives chose to defy,
The orders to kill, to let innocent children die.
They feared God and His righteous might,
Choosing to protect life, to preserve His glorious light.

Unborn children possess legal rights, it’s true,
They deserve a say, a chance to make it through.
Handicap or challenges can’t justify,
The taking of a life, and an innocent cry.

Child sacrifice, a demonic culture’s evil sin,
Where lives were taken, crushed beneath its din.
God desires people made in His image to bring,
Children into His spiritual family, to let their praises ring.

Evil angels, according to ancient lore,
Taught men to destroy the embryo at its core.
But the babe in Elizabeth’s womb did leap,
Filled with the Holy Ghost, a joy so deep.

Extra-biblical writings may offer insights rare,
But life’s beginning is clear, beyond all compare.
Not at first breath, but at conception’s start,
Life takes hold, as God imparts His divine art.

Numbers speak of curses on those who stray,
Committing adultery, leading life astray.
It’s not about pregnancy, but sin’s dark blight,
Only God has the right to take a life’s pure light.

The argument that God killed His divine Son,
Does not justify abortion’s wrongs that were done.
Our sins brought Jesus to the cross, we must own,
He willingly gave His life, His love was biblically shown.

God, the ultimate judge, holds life’s purest decree,
Abortion breaks His law, though it’s materially legally free.
Not everything lawful is right in His sight,
His truth surpasses society’s fleeting light.

Rape and incest, painful as they may be,
Do not change the fact that life we see.
Innocent children shouldn’t bear the ultimate cost,
Punishing them while letting the guilty off.

Every child, wanted by God’s loving outstretched hand,
Has a purpose, a destiny, in His eternal plan.
Though miscarriage and accidents may painfully occur,
We embrace suffering, for it makes us stronger for sure.

This poem does not condemn or wilfully accuse,
But speaks the truth of God, to shed light, and diffuse.
The conscience whispers the truth deep within,
Seek forgiveness, and repentance, and let God’s grace begin.

The evil culture offers no true release,
But in Christ alone, forgiveness finds total peace.
No guilt or regret can lock the door,
For God’s love, forgiveness, and mercy completely restore.

Abortion, a sin, against God’s perfect design,
A precious life, discarded, a tragic blurred line.
Let us fight for the unborn, their rights proclaim,
To protect the innocent, in God’s mighty holy name.

For 60% live where abortion is legal, the dire truth,
1 in 3 women have made this heart-wrenching move.
2400 lives lost each day in the USA,
Virtually all have a heartbeat and a soul that can pray.

Unsafe abortions plague the developing land,
25 million lives lost, a sorrowful bloody demand.
But we must hold steadfast, for God’s law remains,
Human life is sacred, in all its precious ways.

Though suffering and challenges may duly come,
God can use them to refine us, to be steadfast and overcome.
Handicaps and struggles are not an excuse for despair,
But opportunities for growth, and for love to be widely shared.

In the book of Enoch, an evil angel’s sin,
Teaching men to destroy life, a wicked din.
But we must heed the Word, the babe leaping within,
Filled with the Holy Ghost, a divine origin.

Life begins at conception, not at first breath,
A truth divine, beyond the grasp of death.
Adam’s creation, unique in its kind,
But life’s sanctity remains an eternal bind.

Numbers speak of curses, but not on the child,
On infidelity, sin that runs wild.
God alone holds the right to give and take,
Abortion, is a sin, a choice we must forsake.

The argument for Christ’s sacrifice is so deep,
Cannot be twisted to justify this sinful leap.
Our sins drove Him to the cross, it’s true,
But innocent bloodshed, we cannot pursue.

God is the judge, the ultimate divine,
Abortion, is a sin, against His design.
Though the world may deem it legal and free,
Spiritually, it breaks God’s law, it cannot be.

Lots of things are legal, yet far from right,
God’s truth surpasses society’s fleeting light.
Let us stand for the innocent, their voices unheard,
In the face of darkness, let God’s love be stirred.

Rape and incest do not change the child’s worth,
They deserve a chance, a life to unearth.
The sins of the parents should not be their fate,
For every child is wanted, by God’s love innate.

Miscarriage, unplanned from our human view,
Abortion is premeditated, intentional, and askew.
In a fallen world, where death and sorrow reside,
Love God and love others, His command as our guide.

Christians fight for life, pray for its defence,
Accepting trials and tribulations, in every sense.
This poem is not to condemn or accuse,
But to shed God’s truth, His mercy to infuse.

If guilt and regret haunt your soul’s core,
Open the door to God’s forgiveness and more.
The evil culture offers no true release,
Only in Christ, true redemption finds total peace.

Seek forgiveness, and repentance, in God’s embrace,
For there is no forgiveness in the culture for the human race.
