Jesus – the Passover or Easter?

When did Jesus know He was God and the missing years?

Matthew 2:19-23
The Home in Nazareth
“Now when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in (Egypt), saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of (Israel), for those who sought the young Child’s life are dead.” Then he arose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of (Israel). But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the region of (Galilee). And he came and dwelt in a city called (Nazareth), that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, “He shall be called a (Nazarene).”

Jesus Christ was one person with two natures. He was fully human and fully divine. Self-awareness of His divinity is an interesting question?
We know age twelve He was teaching the teachers of the law in the temple.

But you may ask was He taught this knowledge as He was nearly a teenager?

Jesus Had answers to questions they didn’t have, so His parents would have not known these things either. He knew age twelve that He had to be in His Father’s house meaning with God the Father. Why did Jesus wait until He was thirty to start His ministry?

Between the age of 12-30, what was He doing?

Luke 2:39-40
The Family Returns to Nazareth
“So when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth. And the Child grew and became strong in (spirit), filled with (wisdom); and the (grace) of God was upon Him.”

After the birth of Jesus, the family from Bethlehem returned to (Nazareth) and their house in Galilee. What does it mean to be strong in spirit?
It’s important to be strong in spirit so we can resist the temptation to sin and not let the cares and anxieties of the world weigh us down and distract us from our purpose. But we can’t do this in our own strength or effort. Being strong in the spirit helped Jesus in the wilderness when He was tempted by the devil to withstand temptation.

What was being filled with wisdom?

Jesus had to fulfil all the righteousness under the Mosaic law, so that He (as the personified Word of God) may become the law unto us. It was all part of His Father’s plan to take Him into maturity, that God had prepared for His Son. He had to willingly go through each one of those paths to fulfil all righteousness under the law.

Otherwise, Satan would have had the opportunity, to accuse God of breaking His own mandate in Christ Jesus. Christ had to go through what we are going through. It was God’s design and destiny for His life, that took Him to the cross in dying for humanities sins.

Wisdom is the ability to apply knowledge. Knowledge is the awareness of information gained through observation, experience, or study. God’s wisdom is the blessing from God to help us apply knowledge correctly.

Grace is the essence of the gospel, grace gave Jesus victory over sin, and He was eternal encouragement and good hope for us sent by the Father. The word grace, as used in the scriptures, refers primarily to (enabling power) and spiritual healing offered through the mercy and love of Jesus Christ.

Everyone on earth experiences physical death. Jesus came to Nazareth and was subject under them (parents) just like He is subject under His Father in heaven. He was subject under them according to Jewish tradition:

Luke 4:16-21
Jesus Rejected at Nazareth So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up to read. And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. Then He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

John 7:15
“And the Jews marvelled, saying, “How does this Man know letters, having never studied?”

Luke tells us He was brought up in Nazareth. After he was baptised by John, He came back to Nazareth and was speaking in the synagogue. Jesus was at home, took the profession as a carpenter helping his father, was a good son, until He became a man by Jewish tradition. He went into the world at an age you could be a priest:

Numbers 4:35
“From thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, everyone who entered the service for work in the tabernacle of meeting.”

From twelve until thirty years old Jesus was in Nazareth all that time:

Luke 2:51-52
Jesus Advances in Wisdom and Favor
“Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was (subject) to them, but His mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in (wisdom) and (stature), and in (favour) with God and men.”

Jesus learnt from his parents how to be a man within the customs and laws, whilst perceiving the nature of sinful man as He was growing up in Nazareth. Jesus was eventually known as a prophet of Galilee:

Mark 1:9
John Baptizes Jesus
“It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from (Nazareth) of (Galilee), and was baptised by John in the Jordan.”

When Jesus was baptised of John He was in Nazareth and was baptised in the River Jordan.

We must remember that Jesus did not grow into God. He was God! He didn’t grow into deity, but deity comes in fullness.

God with us, not God growing with us.

Many articles and videos portray Him as going to England, India, France and many other places. This is simply put nonsense. He was born in Bethlehem, lived and grew up in Nazareth, taught in a synagogue aged twelve, followed Jewish tradition, worked as a carpenter growing up for eighteen years, before starting His ministry for three half years till He was crucified.

Based on prophecy and parables a period of 3.5 years can be inferred from the 70 weeks prophecy. The daily sacrifice is removed in the middle of the last week. Each week means seven years, so, the middle of the last week is 3.5 years after the week began. Based on the number of Passovers a period of 3.5 years contains four Passovers when the last one is aligned with the end of the period. John reports three Passovers during Jesus’ ministry, but there is one hidden between chapters 4 and 6.
