Development once you are saved

What kind of man or woman does God want you to be?
God requires a praying man or woman, a prayer warrior who prays in harmony with heaven. To pray patiently, purposefully, passionately and watchfully. He requires a joyful praising person lifting up holy hands. God gave us the breath to praise Him. He requires a purified heart and a peacemaking soul.

At what point is a baby born?

Is it when it comes out of the mother’s body, or when you cut the umbilical cord?

Is it when they were first conceived or when they first breathed?

Well, it’s a process and the completion of the development is more important.
A midwives job is to see that the baby is properly born, just like God wants to see us properly born. There are bicycles everywhere but they have no chains. The chain is the Holy Spirit. We as believers can peddle very hard repeatably doing all kinds of religious practices, but without the Holy Spirit, our bicycles are not going to get anywhere. Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit says the Lord. The word Christian was originally a nickname given to believers because they talked about Christ. It was not used by the apostles.

The word (Disciple) should be the correct biblical term. You are a disciple when you take the first step to repentance. Christ told us to go (get) disciples, not Christians who will receive and go on learning. People are not saved until they get to heaven, so continual committed development is needed. We can be sure we are on the road to heaven if we stay on the narrow path with the assurance of the Holy Spirit. With the assurance of the spirit, this helps us to walk in the spirit on the narrow path to heaven.

The first thing to depart if you backslide is assurance. The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are a child of God. Scholars agree that while the New Testament was penned in Greek, the main language that Jesus and his disciples spoke was Aramaic, an ancient regional language. When Jesus spoke of God as Father in Aramaic, he used the term Abba, the word for father. It’s a beautiful and sweet-sounding name much like what a child would use to call his or her own Father-Daddy-Papa or even Dada. So intimate, so caring and so loving. As we develop this is the kind of loving bond that the Father wants from His children made in His image and likeness. Some people have been baptised in water but do not think they have been baptised by the Holy Spirt?

This could be true as it’s such a definite experience. People who have been baptised in the spirit don’t doubt the experience and the transformation qualities.

So how did I know I received the Holy Spirit?

Well, I was going through the repentance stage as I began to wake up going to church. Fellowship opened my eyes to study more as I liked History, and the Bible fascinated me. Conviction of the Word helped me to want to get baptised as I felt like something was missing in my life and there had to be more. I felt like I had the Holy Spirit before water baptism as I noticed profound differences and changes in my life instantly the next day I woke up. These included stopping biting my nails for over twenty years, ceased swearing overnight, lost four stone in weight eating healthier, took interest in things that I had never before, disliked rock music I grew up with, liked nature, and saw design in many things that could only have come from an intelligent mind. I prayed and asked for the gift of reading and writing, so I could learn, create a website and teach others which I received. I had never shown any interest in this topic before.

The spirit can be (with) many people but He wants to be (in) you. Not everyone is called to be an evangelist, but we are called to be witnesses to Christ.

Once saved we should be putting into practice as much reconciliation as possible. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, that every charge may be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church forgive them. Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

We are to love our enemies, and now with the indwelled Holy Spirit we are prepared to pray for them. Being kind, generous and loving to someone who is hurting you, will make them not understand why you can’t affect them, but their conscience will be stirred to cease their wrongdoings.

Freewill is the freedom to say no against sin, and the freedom to accept Christ as your Lord and saviour. The words planted, watered, and cultivated land in the Bible all refer to things of life.

God’s life, like a seed, has been planted in our spirit. This seed needs watering to grow, and as the seed of God’s life grows in us, we become His cultivated land, His farm.

Development of a disciple includes reading the Bible daily, repentance, prayer, love others, serve others, be worthy to be called a child of God, edify one another, test your faith, study and learn, forgiveness, be doers of the Word, fellowship and share the gospel.

Jesus said “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. What a message to uphold.

Billy Graham made it clear that without the cross (and the resurrection) we have no gospel message. He boldly proclaimed that salvation was only found through the cross of Christ.

He also went on to set high standards for both financial accountability and sexual morality.
